Yes to the MRI, and my curiosity and interest in medical science overruled any nervousness... but I do sympathise with anyone who suffers with claustrophobia, it was a pretty tight capsule even when you are as slim as I am. I'm reading with interest... back to front of course but am riveted.

I've never had an MRI.......yet.
Sooner or later it seems that everyone does.

Asians truly do not show their age... It seems we "whites" are the ones cursed by father time to show every line... BTW there is such a thing as an open MRI I know because I am also claustrophobic but unlike you I can not control my condition that well... when my back operation I had to have a couple of those revolving monsters about me... and I was thankful it was not the dreaded cylinder :-) Can't wait for part VI xoxoxo

My Japanese DIL doesn't look her age either, Naut. I guess it's an Asian thing. Is the next post going to tell us how you freak out in the MRI machine?

LOL!
I have a feeling this is going to get good.
I have issues with certain spaces like elevators. Normally I can keep myself focused on my Iphone (love my music selections during elevator rides) or a book or something so I am not paying attention but every now and then......

Wow! You asked a woman her age and got away with it! Maybe the MRI wasn't so bad after all!

I have a little touch of the claustrophobia but as long as I can see out I'm OK. Can't wait to read the rest of the story, I feel in love with oriental people when I was in Okinawa.

I have a Vietnamese manicurist who doesn’t look a day over 25 yet she’s actually 48. She, too, has been in this country well over 10 years and speaks very broken English. I envy oriental women and who they never seem to age until they hit 102.
Have only had a CT Scan and that freaked me out enough (the claustrophobic thing).

Somehow you've turned a dismal appointment for MRI into the makings of a
good novel. btw-I'm so claustrophobic, I'd never agree to do MRI.

If I didn't know how much work goes into keeping fit
and looking 15 to 20 years younger than your true age, I would take an instant dislike to your lovely Chinese nurse. As it is, I can only stand up and salute!

Some people hide their age very well I must say! I am not a fan of MRI's but one thing is my town has an open MRI, still doesn't matter to me because it is the clicking of the magnets and migraine that don't mix! It's hard to stay still for the 45 minutes! I hope she did not give you the business on the inquiry! lol I enjoy reading your writing, it keeps me interested and I dislike the continuation because I want to keep reading! sam
