Wonderful writing - a message, witty and enjoyable to read..:)

And yes the banks are inviting all sorts of bad things but as long as the right pockets are stuffed I guess they feel safe. My favorite charities are the ones for kids; do wish they wouldn't be so business like, seems like a lot of salaries to pay...

Re:

Annicata it appears that self belief or a form of blindness is epidemic in some situations.

I did notice today that two of the big earners in RBS have decided not to accept a few million perhaps it will catch on.

Re:

Goodness a bit dodgy that car Sam . I would get it checked out, she doesn't want to break down out of town. Yes a lot of folk are sitting on a considerable amount of debt.

Up to now having been partly shielded by low interest rates. Eventually they will go up so one must always think of that possibility,  As long as Christopher is safe, that is what matters.

Re: Where Does All The Money Go?

Amanda they all seem like a lot of sheep this latest trend of sending cards and coins, well and of course the inevitable plea. I would like to see the expense sheet occasionally.

Yeah, I concur with Pat (as I do often it seems, and it allows me cutting down on the size of my own comments, LOL!) Let me just add that I'm kinda glad you have that slasher and not Ellie...

yes i agree....so many clueless CEOs that have literally raped the american public of their money and dignity and then have the friggin audacity to ask for a hand out which they in turn use to pay themselves bonuses they dont deserve!  what balls!!!

Oh my goodness, that was too funny on the slasher! She hasn't a clue regarding boundaries! I am so fed up with the banks and their bonuses here in my country, too! They are tight with the money that the Gov't gave to them on the bailout and at the taxpayers expense. They have sent me through all imaginable hoops as it were only to make me wait still longer! Then folks get upset with the 'Occupy Movement", if nothing else they are bringing about awareness. The thing is to get them to listen! The Federal Reserve said it will not make an increase until the end of 2014, so for me, that keeps them in the driver's seat insofar as mortgages are concerned. And the new trend is the deep sub-prime for auto loans. Research showed that people kept up with their car loans when their mortgages went under water. The deep rate can be as much as 10% more than the prime rate! So many people fall into the deep sub-prime due to the hit on their credit report from missed mortgage payments! The bottom line for me is that they will use any means to exploit in the name of profit! So, they will always stay a step ahead according to the current trend and get us anyway! UGH!

I haven't been out to read lately because my daughter is here and has had to get so many things  done that she is wearing her mother out! LOL! We fixed her windshield wiper motor only to have a problem with it. Then this morning we went to get gas and the darn car would not take in enough gas to make it go faster than 25 mph, finally stopping at 15 mph. We pulled over and checked things out but luckily it was able to go the half mile to my house. Now we are off to the parts store to run a diagnostic because it may just be a fuse for the wipers and a dirty electronic part that regulates the gas flow that can be easily cleaned with a solution! Solution might be wrong, a spray of some sort which be a solution to the solution of the problem, lol! I just hope this ends the saga! She is a bit tired of spending money on it too!

I felt bad for you when your program decided to stop and you lost work! It is so disappointing! But, I am with you because I had to learn the hard way to remember to save work periodically so I didn't lose it! I am good at it now but it took lots of reminders to get to that point!

Spring is getting so close, about 7 weeks! I am so anxious to get my hands dirty! HAHA! I haven't heard from Christopher lately but all is well for him. I am hoping he can be home next Friday. He leaves, or at least he has his plane tickets to go to Florida the first part of February! I will feel so bad if he misses the trip! Have a great evening! sam

Where Does All The Money Go?

What a coincidence!  I became a lifetime member of the Humane Society (cats and dogs) now they are sending "free" gifts and an invoice.  I really angers me.  And yes, where do all those officials get their money?  I once saw a government document that said $600 for a toilet and $300 for a hammer.

C.C.

So many things written about I can barely keep up frankly because my feeble mind can't hold what I read back THERE and then REMEMBER it here. I came to a decision about charities as well. I donate to the church parish every week whether I attend mass or not.I have more reasons to 'not' in the last year mostly related to health. So mostly I let the church do the donating where they like, and that is enough for me.

So much is going on in so many locations. If a camera tried to follow, it would be quite a documentary. :)
