I would avoid her presence as much as I could too, who needs the aggravation! I guess one could dismiss a lot of what is going on with her due to her age and health issues, but it hurts nonetheless! sam

Right again Naut... smile..  I've only really seen her for Sunday lunches anyway and she doesn't like it when I'm there either... not since she worked out that he and I are a little bit more than just old friends!!  How anyone can be so jealous at 91 is beyond me, but we have found our strategy now and I'll continue to just be pleasant and civil, if and when I do see her.  Plus, I make better gravy than he does..!

Since she's his granny (or mother?) I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. And since he seems to share your dim view of her, there really shouldn't be much need for contact...

Thans Ciel... though making rules is probably not my call here...she's his mother... smile... but by limiting the contact we give her fewer opportunities to be spiteful.

but I don't see why anyone should be obligated to give toxic people the chance to work their poison.
Who makes these rules?  I'm thinking, you could be making your own rules for Granny and others.
