I never give out my cell phone (mobile to you) number, not even for a can of kippers. Especially not for a can of kippers, since I'm not actually very fond of them, though I do remember them from my sojourn in the Sceptred Isle...However, I love your poem...

Re: :Your Poems

Amanda you probably are so easily pleased, believe me it is easier to resuscitate  a poem than write  the journal each day.

They do indeed FS, and we should make it harder  for them to find anything out.

:Your Poems

CC or is it CCT?  I just read your last two poems.  Excellent.  They flow much unlike a professional writer or poet.  Actualy you are a professional also.  I was told once you put your work out "there" that's when you become a "professional writer". Your poetry speaks like short stories, so they could be either or.  It is such a delight to read your writings. Amanda

I hate giving out so much information to various companies. It's getting harder and harder to find companies that do not need so much.

It is definitely a pet peeve of mine that everybody thinks they have to have the mobile phone number.  It isn't enough for them if you just give them the land-line phone number with the answering machine.  But, that is all I will give out no matter what, just because I'm stubborn.  Some internet sites you can't even access if you don't give them a mobile phone #.  That's okay with me, I just do without.

I only give my mobile number out, never my home phone, that one is for friends and family. I remember that poem, but I enjoyed it more the second time around. I must have been rushed that day as I do not remember my laughter as loud then, thinking of similar situations of my own I suppose.

Re: I believe Arthur has made a smart move, saving 150 pounds

Lo Pat makes one wonder what the mark up is on these goods. I guess that is a trade secret.

Re: Arthur played the merchants game and saved himself some money....

Probably Rumour, I can't see any reason for a Bank to want the number, the phone might have been stolen,

Good thinking Wiley, Can I have a guess at your thoughts?

Yes I have strange thoughts as time goes by and I don't ever give out my cell number to anybody. I hardly ever use it.

Good for Arthur! I love it when folks hold the merchant up to what they advertise! And Mabel needs to start dreaming again, she's missing out on fantasy! lol sam

Arthur played the merchants game and saved himself some money....

Good for him!...C_C_T, I think these merchants want peoples' mobile numbers because so many (like us) just won't answer certain callers we recognize as recorded messages and/or useless attempts to get us to buy more stuff...

that way. It's good to have a wash machine that works well.
