Yes Sam life is strange I bet if you could get into those Offices and see the head man it would be sorted in no time. The trouble is I think the lowest of the low reads your case and while being sympathetic, no way can they change things without applying the rerason to higher authority. Let's face it, they are, because it is the system forced to keep their heads down. I always try to force my case onto someone high up the ladder.
I had something in a smaller way happen when I wanted to have a porch replaced about sixteen sheets of paper./ I got so fed up with it in the end. I phoned and asked to speak to the name on the paper. Got through and was told go ahead as long as it was not a new building. No one really cares a damn it is just that the lower subjects do not realise the true position. It was like a chap told me he rang up to complain and the girl said after a pause. I am afraid the manager is not here. He said tell him I know he is there standing by you, I know how these things work. The manager sheepishly came onto the phone. Yes the ladies were very quiet on that subject. OK you win
Lets hope Mik gets the job . British men are more hopeful than persistent I think.

I prefer not to have my doorstep messed up as well! It makes it rather difficult to get in and out without making more of a mess! I must say Arthur has a mixed personality, it's as though he's afraid to be in a good mood all the time! I know that one too for I have had a bit of a tough time staying pleasant in my thoughts! Lately I have been on this kick of being tired of waiting for things to happen! Then again, when I have a 4 day migraine it simply takes the life out of me! I filled out the paperwork to officially request the investigation on my last mortgage. I simply can't put it in the mail. I have no faith that the findings will be in my favor. I feel like I was set up for failure by the mortgage company and the information I provided at that time may the very thing that derails me! I did not fully understand what they were asking, they make it that way in my humble opinion, and when it was all said and done it could have turned out much differently! I had to demonstrate that I could not pay my increase, which I did, but I could have reworked my budget to ensure that I made good on the original amount until the house was sold for what I owed! Now it has created another waiting period, the three years, until I can buy another house. That comes about the end of September! So darn frustrating!
If that wasn't enough I checked my annual credit report and the company told me I had won my dispute but they have yet to take it off the unsatisfactory part of my credit. It's been more than three months! They take no time to whatsoever to place the negative items on the report and forever and a day to take them off. Boggles my mind! After my divorce it took several letters and documentation and 2 years to get it corrected. Aside from my house every payment has been made with the exception of this one month that was reported late. I have 47 payments made on time and somehow this one has a late payment on January 2010. There are 14 other accounts that are either being paid on or paid off with not one late payment! So, I do not understand how I could have possibly been late! Absolutely makes no sense to me! And with 47 made on time it further boggles my mind that one would cause it go on the unsatisfactory side! I know that it has now been 24 months since it was recorded but it is still very wrong! It is not supposed to affect my credit that much at this point but even losing a point to it is more than I want! There are times when that 1 point makes all the difference when one is trying to get a mortgage at prime rate!
I have not heard that Mik may be working in the warehouse at the mine driving forklift! Now that makes me feel better! I won't know for certain until the weekend because I am getting my info second hand and I prefer it from the horse's mouth so to speak!
I saw your comment on no more hugs when Christopher gets home per your reference. And I must say that it has been noted that American women fake it so you would never know anyway! HAHAHAHA! Keep them hugs acomin' cuz they get me through my day! So there! Here's several from me... I wonder what a survey on British men might bring about, lol! sam

Yes Pat I just put it down to the Male menopause, and the lack of a good woman to spend his money. Well Arthur. Archie's wife goes out at night on the milk waggon and helps him, he was sure lucky to get such a jolly person.

Kabu I am not Grumpy, I just make other people grumpy. The trouble is everyone I know expects things to go smoothly all the time and cannot stand the pressure. Now we know things always go wrong, so remember that, the best bit of advice I can give you.
