What a bummer on the computer! I think it might be worth your time to go to downloads @cnet.com! Here is the link I use: http://download.cnet.com/windows/ I downloaded Advanced Systemcare 5, the free verison and I do a deep clean and it corrects the things that make the blue screen pop up! I think it's worth a try! It's good to be able to get out and read your entries, too! sam

Oh, and make any changes to the .doc copy, save.

 If it's what you want, then "Save As" PDF, using the original file name. That should replace the original.

If you want to change something that's in a PDF file

you may have to open it, use the "Save As" feature and save the copy in regular document format. PDF files are designed to prevent anyone from making changes. I know you knew that, but in view of other confusion with the computer it may have slipped your mind.

and you cut down a tree and put up the house sign now what happens when the tree starts to shoot all afresh and around the sign....Oh never mind I am a grump today.
