It's tough but you will make and be back before you know! I hope you can enjoy yourself while you are there! Thanks for putting Mik on your list! I tell ya, those sons of mine drive me nuts with their career choices but I support them! sam

I guess you just wish it was simpler. Let’s face it…. Heading to Australia is a far cry from a trip to Ottawa. It’s arduous, it means leaving the man you love (and we all know you’ll worry), and it’s an interruption to your smooth, daily routine. Look on the bright side – you’ll be able to kiss those loved ones that you miss so much and before you know it you’ll be back in Camelot.

I miss you already. But you did not come this far never to see your family again. I know how that would be . Love you so much.

Well darlin' I will miss your hanging upside down from the ceiling light fixture but it's what you're used to.LOL It'll be easier for you down under as Naut says, it's such a natural thing being upside-down there. I'll try and be good while you're gone, sigh.

The cats always know
And as for all of that snow . . . please keep it over there! New Jersey roads are difficult enough to traverse without those pesky Canadian cold fronts sweeping down on us!

It's always tricky when you have loved ones in two very different places but I am sure you will enjoy the journey and then enjoy coming home again too

You should illustrate classic winter postcards, and see if you can accustom G. to visits! You have quite the talent to photograph winter scenes.

Kabu,
My cat is the same way. One time when I was packing, she, actually, did get into the suitcase. If our animals feel this way, I know Wiley must be thinking and feeling this way, too. Wish you could wrap him up like a package and take him, too! I agree with the former comments, you need the younger ones to come visit you next time...or take Wiley with you. But you have taken care of things on the home front and so you must go on your journey and be content that God will take care of you and All you Love will be safe at home. Have a wonderful time!!

I just saw on the weather news they're having a heat wave
in Sydney and thereabouts - they're having to pour water on giant tortoises at the zoo, and folks are dealing with 104 degrees. This message is brought to you by Snow, Wind and Sleet, the transformative fairies who change the landscape around Camelot. It's cool the way Mr. G reads you.

Kabu For goodness sake tell them to visit you next year one at a time. I expect as soon as you touch down and the warmth hits you

Kabu, cats are so sensitive it continually amazes me....
When Liz goes to her yearly meetings in Toronto, our two cats get that suspicious look in their eyes even before her suitcase comes out, and then when it comes out, they go into a wholesale funk. Mickey usually climbs into the case practically before its open as if to say "You aren't going anywhere without me."..
..yes, I'm sure cats and dogs and other animals are a lot more sensitive than humans are - no wonder they think they own us.
