It is the last two lines that hold the weight of this poem CCT, beautifully done, masterful.

Speaking of birthdays--one of my Florida grandsons is having his birthday here on Friday and it is his choice as to where to have his birthday dinner.  Not surprisingly he has chosen Red Lobster because he likes that all you can eat shrimp and lobster tail stuff.  So seafood it is.  I like his choice fine.

Re:

Thank you CCT . I hope your table lasts you another few years and the lacquer I sent     enhanced your wooden leg and obliterates all those pole dancers signatures.

That was very spiritual to me and perhaps had more to do with your God than your romanticism even. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Well the first casualty was the table which is over a hundred years old I expect Fortunately we only had two guests after refusing offers The table in the sitting room has lamps and a computer etc. So I said to Arthur we will lift this table into the the other room, we can't just put our plates on the floor. When we carried it in the leaf fell off and the other side looked shaky. We managed and today I stuck it back together with gorilla glue. If it falls to bits I shall have to get another. WE could not offer our guests meat as the beef according to Arthur had not thawed properly and he accused me of putting it back in the oven after he had cut slices off and I told him he was going mad, it is now dry and needs resuscitating. Otherwise everyone was remarkably friendly. Arthur bought me a set of fifty screwdrivers and it was a pleasure not to have to look everywhere for one when I doctored the table. Although he did the dirty on me and took a box of liqour  chocolates which left me with a do-it-yourself  plastic wind wind up torch which I shall never use. Seems funny not to put Happy Christmas
