Another fun post, CC. Love to read your mix of memories and present sibling and/or neighbour tug-of-wars, all mixed in with a great amount of wit! You have yourself a Merry Christmas now; careful with the chocolate consumption!!

Speaking of chains on cars for winter driving, there was a lot of that when I was young. In fact, as it happened I got my very first driver's license in January and when I went to town to take the driving test there was so much snow that I had to take my driving test with chains on the tires. It was a cold, snowing day, but I passed.

% I built a big snow fortress along the driveway. I’ve built snowmen on the lawn. I uses to sled down the walk on the side of the garage from the driveway and fortress when there down to the patio in the backyard sir. My sixth grade sweetheart and her friend, my neighbor across the street threw snowballs at each other. My snow building partner was the girl next door. We played Father and Daughter. Jane was a straw broom. Elaine was based on the new girl in my third grade class. I loved her later boyfriend and her. She was cool and always nice to me in our classes through the years, friends as those girls are. At school I played with a Carol. Lol wherever you are. Go to my film when I can make more contacts. Merry Christmas sir. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

You are so lucky to have your brothers and sister, my brother just called the other day, it has been about 8 months since the last talk. Christmas has a way of bringing us all together and I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas this year...I miss you, and your poetry on the other side. Wish you would cross over from time to time.

Re: I just giggled all the way through this, you and your siblings are like
Hi KABU What do you think Arthur had a delivery from Amazon he put it on my work top .
I wonder what it can be, he was scathing about my milk tin hanging on the radiator with water and Vick to make a vapouriser. I suddenly though perhaps it some to hang on the radiators . I hope he has not bought an expensive gadget I did give him a bag of gravel for his birthday and Xmas present about 70 pounds but he said at the time it was the first present I had given him for the last three years so I did not expect anything. Have lovely time. Happy Christmas

Re:
Thank you Sam I will not rob Christopher of your hugs when he comes back. I do of course read your poems but cannot show favouritism, I just say a few lines to Joe as he is lonely. Yes they are a strange family the cabinet makers, I expect his Dad said do Mike's cupboards by Christmas or pack your bags. The problem is he does work for a big firm and I expect they push him when they are busy. Do have a nice Christmas, try and get the wishbone.. I always had the parson's nose but I think it is a bit too fatty these days.

Re: It's like a visit to a new country to read your posts.
Hi Pat wonderful what one can remember I suppose having no photos much and not a lot of entertainment it remains more vivid. I know which I would prefer out of a new car and mine is ten years old, or a water flush privy. Have a happy Christmas and be careful in that bath.

I just giggled all the way through this, you and your siblings are like
kids squabbling...I feel like yelling from the kitchen...."you kids play nice together now, do you here me?"
and your description of wrapping a parcel is priceless. You have a kind heart. and you have a wonderful Christmas.

It's like a visit to a new country to read your posts.
And a bit of time travel. My house growing up had the original kind of electricity. A single light bulb hanging from the kitchen ceiling, wood cook stove to be stoked and a running water faucet over the sink, short walk outside to the toilet. Your talk of paraffin and burning candles to save electricity, the snow pack -- very familiar. I hope you and yours enjoy a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. :)
