I have often thought that it would be nice to have a meet up some time, I would bring my appetite...And the hard rolls. The cake looks wonderful Kabu...are you sure you didn't photo shop this shot? Just kidding.

Kabu, you can email me a piece of cake...:)

I can smell it from here (must be the north wind blowing the yummy smell south)...we're almost guaranteed no white Christmas here this year, but who really cares what colour it is......

a few years back we were all talking about having a Blogit reunion with those at each end of the glob.  But that never went anywhere.  Your cake and flowers look very festive.

Hmmm...after reading this post and all the comments - I'm suddenly hungry for breakfast! Lovely picture, Kabu!

I'll mash up some potatoes with butter and cream, whip them

to the texture of clouds, make some brown gravy to ladle on. That will fit on the table with all the other luscious stuff. As Grandma Lucy used to say, a meal's not a meal without the mashed potatoes.

Yes a lovely looking cake Kabu, I didn't know you could do it, someone has just brought me one. I can only send you glitter as it travels quite fast as you know.

Oh Honey did I tell you the cake arrived, just a couple of slices but ooooh was it ever the best. I have a ham going and Naut's salad will just tie it all together. I bet there will be something special from all of us.... at your house. George and I are having these slices all by ourselves just to have the strength to make the rest of the junk we need to pile on the Reindeer pulled flat bed headed to Canada.. Ho! Ho! see ya soon! Merry Christmas to all... You are a Queen seeing to the preparations of the King and your court.

Kabu

By all means, let's have a pot luck party! I'll also bring some vino (you can never have enough of that) and some cognac for later. But I'll also bring my mango and avodado salad, it's nice even on a winter's day...

I confess I leave the "baking" to the younger generation - they bring the goodies and I cook the turkey dinner.  It's a fair trade, I think.  When I do bake, however, my specialty is pies.....
