I had a cough a few months back that was driving me nuts. Thankfully it stopped.

C_C_T..talk about snowy slushy messes...
That's what we had and have here yet this morning...and now the temp is dropping, which will freeze the whole mess.
..wish I could advise you on a cough cure - honey used to work for me but that's about it.

I googled it and a guy from the UK had this to say: Try Marigold cough remedy. It is a natural mix with no long named chemicals and it works. Can be got from Asda. Main ingredient is squill which really stops that tickle. I hope this helps you CC, I feel so bad for you! I will pray for relief for you, too! Take care! sam

Actually, I didn't think the post was miserable at all. I enjoyed it.
Of course, I'm sure the cough is miserable. I hate continuous coughing.

I have to say that I'm in agreement with the humidifier. And, Kabu, would know since she was a nurse. I still enjoy the hot tea and honey. And if your throat is bothering you...gargle hydrogen peroxide. Just don't swallow it!!! Take care my friend

I was about to suggest humidifying air, then noticed Kabu beat me to it.
If you've no humidifier, simmer water on stove & if you wish, add fragrant herbs to it. I like to use dry mint leaves, or thyme or lavender. Dry coughs often happen when weather is cold and you turn on the home heater.

you are miserable poor thing.....but i do laugh at the cat getting the
better of Arthur who would hate to admit how soft he really is in his heart.
now the cough......those medicines in a cough bottle mainly just make one feel ill same with cough drops.
If the honey and Lemon isn't working try gargling every 3-4 hours with salt water and a crushed or disolvable panadol. Then if you don't have one send Arthur out for a portable humidifier.....a water humidifier.....one that has a purifier in it so that the moist air blows dust and pollen free. Our Wiley has virtually stopped coughing since we bought the humidifier and he is breathing 100% easier. Rub vix on your chest at night and keep warm. Don't go outside into cold air...keep the house warm
If these remedies don't work....see the doctor tomorrow because you can't afford to have this go to your lungs.
