It would have been crazy to do otherwise, to let the
deception continue. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I think that's the quote. Do not waste your energy on "if only" or "what if" questions. Next time someone tries to get to you with that old song and dance, you won't be fooled. And start locking your door. There are more wolves than sheep out there.
