As far as the older woman is concerned I would put her out of your mind! She should not have been soliciting a kiss from a lad in the first place! I can see where it would become boring for you waiting for your dad to chat with the folks and you wanting to be done! I would think he was very in tune with the customer service part of the business and how vital it was to his sales! Alas, a young man does not want to be tied up in that fashion though! sam

Re:
Well adnohr at that time Knicker elastic did not grow on trees, well it did, but you know what I mean. All commodities were in short supply, so we had to source that vital tool from from a market supplier who made ccosmetics. The elastic was very poor quality but doubled so I was told was just about adequate. We had a ruler so one had to hold the elastic up bravely to the remarks 'don't ee stretch it, the piece never seems long enough when I look at it in doors.'

Very interesting. It would not do any harm to have children do more these days than simply sit on their behinds. I think you have been a blessing many times to so many people. Be blessed yourself.

I can remember mother washing daddy's longjohns in a galvanized tub with a washing board and lye soap and then hanging them out on the line with the arms stretched out. In the winter they would freeze on the line like that and she would carry them in stiff as a cardboard cutout. Then she would put up lines in the house for them to finish drying.

You have lived an interesting life CC, and you have lived it well. Think of all those who you have touched with your kindness, and kindness in a man is rare these days. I am happy I have got to now you somewhat, as when ever I need a smile I think of you.

Knicker elastic, huh? I don't think I would call that a little thing...it could be quite important if the old one is really done!
