I ate a lot of deer meat as a kid; my Dad loved to hunt. And saving money, haha. But I never could eat rabbit or squirrel for some reason; chicken no prob..:) Great verse and story, CC!

Sounds like all sorts of things are going on around your place. I agree about the poor old goose. Who wants to go on and on and nothing is ever to one's liking. Meat come from the butcher you know that, be he at home or store.

Our deer population has exploded over the last few decades. Some places that had banned hunting now allow it.
