Sudden unidentifable bangs or other noises can be mighty scary!
I heard a strange combined animal/bird sound outside my window the other night and will never know what it was.

Glad it all worked out.. I got stuck in the car wash a few years ago with my grandson. Sure glad neither of us were claustrophobic but it was a little nerve racking. I'm always afraid that the person behind me will run into me if my car stalls somewhere in there!!! Noises like that could make you think it was coming from your car!!

How frightening but I can imagine the relief upon finding out it was not serious! Who would have thought the noise could be so loud and so hard to detect! Great suspenseful post! sam

That would have been scary...I'd have thought the machine had malfunctioned & damaged my car!

Car washes always make me a little nervous..
I went off track in one and had quite the time getting back on; seemed like the car was falling through a wet roof or something, haha. I would have definitely freaked in your situation, lol. Anyway, glad it wasn't the car wash!
