Re:
Brilliant Lion, but I expect you tread all over the place after gardening I am moving on with the experiment I have managed to get some lengths of copper pipe and have surrounded an area in the greenhouse inside which I have placed large pots dribbled silver sand around the pipes and put slug pellets on the plastic floor. We shall see.

Re:
Well I still read them shobana and smile as you probe the universe for answers. No I usually use the top rings . Let me tell you young lady I have two brand new sponge tins in the cupboard and one day I shall make a sponge cake. Probably a bit too difficult for most people but I have a mixer thing which I have never used and now I think about it I know a good recipe that is simple and very effective I shall ask my SIL to remind me of it and produce a magnificent sponge for the goose. My hackles are up.

Re:
adnohr     I expect worse things happen, but it was a bit silly. although just what a lad would do. Never mind you probably have immunity to chewed grass. Spider milk is like a good wine, one never forgets the taste.

Well done Wiley I once bought my Mother a stock hoe for a birthday present well she was only seventy at the time and now I have to use it. If you put an old oven outside here it would be gone by night, scrap.

Re:
Well Taps the first thing to do is throw the hair spray away and tie your hair with a lttle bow behind. If you put a mat over the sticky patch it will in time flake away and brush up easily. Six months I would imagine or get one of your sons to just scrub it off. Just say you spilt some hair spray.

Don't give away your lovely jugs....I really enjoy knowing that they are
all there together in one collection. I know that knick nacks are out of vogue these days but who cares....I adore being surrounded by my treasures. and I think that you do too.

What a tangled web you weave here old chap, too many cups of spider I suspect.I bought Kabu a new kitchen stove for a Christmas present and it shall be here next week. I'm happy too because I didn't want to use that nasty oven cleaner again.

C_C_T..we've had an old friend in this past couple of weeks

doing odd jobs for us, inside and out..one thing he confirmed for us is our two dressers and two end tables are all antiques (all were formally) my Mom's furniture)...so we will not be refinishing them or touching them in any way to ruin their antiquity....

I hope to get a short sequel to "Shortcut" at least started this week...(thanks for your idea - I'll try to work it in if I can)....

When I was a kid on the farm, our milk tasted terrible one morning! The lad milking the cows finally admitted that one of the cows had stepped in the pail - he had just pulled it away from her and threw the pailful into the separator with the rest - thinking that would take care of it. UGH! We had to throw cans & cans of it out. When the creamery truck came for pick-up, there was nothing from us that day. Which is worse, I wonder? Spiders or cow-pooh?

My biggest housekeeping problem is my bathroom floor in front of the large mirror where I do my make-up work and hair care.  I am about the last hold out for Aquanet hairspray to keep my stray gray hairs in place on my head.  The hairspray mist falls to the floor and any dust or dirt and grime tracked in there sticks right to the hairspray and makes a dirty film that is very difficult to clean.  Help!
