All the stations in our town are credit/debit. I have been to one that only did debit or cash and it was a lot cheaper. It seemed they did get a lot of business.

I suppose cash verses buying on credit does impose a difference in prices.

The gasoline business drives me nuts with it competitiveness! But, I suspect it will always be that way! It seems so few can really compete! sam

sometimes those prices are confusing as you read the price for gas and then you see its for cash that changes everything. I never carry cash and so I always use the atm.

We have had a few stations closed down here by environment Canada because of ground contamination from the leaking gas tanks. So as you say it's already tough to make a profit in selling gas anyway, I would never get inti it now with all the risk.

next time I grumble at the pump I will blame the big oil companies and the
Government taxes for my high priced gas. Good post...an argument well presented.
