The history of the workhouse is quite a harsh one isn't it?

Re:
WEll Taps it was harder to appease one's self when it meant a journey to the shop. I am sure those insoles would be comfy if one did not think about the poor little mole.

Re:
Goodness Whispers, I am re-writing a fairy story for you, so you can sleep at night. Very dark chocolate is supposed to be good for one ,but I don't like it much.

Off to the opticians today Rumor, so I hope she will sort it out. These bugs travel quickly these days,

Re:
Years ago Sam the Yanks were stationed nearby and one or two used to call in for some reason. One day one brought his young baby, sometimes they had a problem with words we used. so just for a joke I said hi ya man giving the baby an airing . I thought it was funny but a few months later another one came along pushing a baby and he said to me I am just giving the baby an airing. I wonder once if you ever remembered that phrase being used by older folk. Because I had never heard it in England before.

Re:
Well it is rather a delicate subject adnor I just added it as I thought Kabu might have enlarged on the subject but she was more interested in mundane articles.

I prefer outside names like......Bog....long drop....thunder box....out back....little house.. Dunny......black hole    .porter loo......I presume that I was the reader expected to come up with some names!

C.C...your sister must be referring to a sinus infection, it sounds so
familiar...last week if I bent over or moved my head too quickly, I felt dizzy and lightheaded...it seems to be going around over here, so maybe its on your side of the pond, too...your glasses may be causing it, too..a lot of possible causes...hmmm, a dish of ice cream sounds good right about now, too, if Liz has left me any....

I love how food can make one feel better! This morning one of the clues on my crossword puzzle was what does W.C. mean in England and I got it right without having to look it up! It was loo! lol And then to read about was so much fun for me! I am sorry you are experiencing the maladies, hopefully they will heal and you will be good as new! Cement work cannot be fun at all! sam
