Re: the Sunday roast....!!!!! !we used to have our mutton & on rare occassions
Interesting Kabu, poor old chooks have gone down hill since those days, I only buy free range chooks, but they are so expensive that I rarely have one. I don't like eating chooks much though, having once been a chook, chook, farmer.

WEll Taps I suppose we all wonder at times what our forebears were like, I expect your grandmother was pleased to have such a captive audience.

Re:
You should hear me when I am really gracious Shobana. A good job that you can express yourself, sounds like squeezing  juice from grapes. Thank you for the prayer.

Feed the company but who says it has to be what's in the oven, lol! I tell you when greed gets the upper hand it's not long before doom sets in! I delighted in reading this memory! I have been at it today myself! Tomorrow I have to turn in preliminary work for my mortgage! I hope I have everything covered. I've gone over it until I can't think of a thing I could possibly say that hasn't been said! I just want to give myself the best chance possible for the final say to be in my favor interest wise. It's amazing how much a percentage point can add to the live of the loan, just boggles my mind. I am wanting to get this whole thing wrapped up by the end of October including the moving to avoid paying any more rent than I have to pay! But, I suspect it will take longer than the end of October! Whatever happens will be fine as long as I am in a place that belongs to me. It seems it's the hardest at the end so I need to be patient! I have begun packing up my house so that takes my mind off things. I like to leave an exceptionally clean house and yard behind so it require some work! I want my deposit back and I don't like giving money if I don't have and certainly not for something I could have easily done! I hope you had a fine weekend. I am out trying to get some reading done but I have no clue how much I will read. I will try to get yours read since you are always so kind to stop in and see me! sam

Your grandfather sounds a little like my grandma CC. She was always keeping the best portions for her son and us the remnants..Gosh!! Yes I did write on a Saturday..and yes you are right..am missing my girls. The house was full when they were home and now just seems empty..Thank you CC for your gracious comments as always.

CHIFFCHAFF
A very entertaining read my friend and let's make a meal like that because I'm a good bread baker.

I used to sit with my old grandmother, in Oklahoma, on her porch swing by the hour because she would tell me stories such as this....stories of the old times, and they fascinated me no end.

the Sunday roast....!!!!! !we used to have our mutton & on rare occassions

mother would kill and dress a chook which I agree with great Grandfather...It was too good to share. LOL.

The baker still cooks the roast for the neighborhood in Greece. Holiday time you have to book your meal in early to get it done. I think ...if the baker is honest...it is a grand idea.
