That was such a great decision on the part of your husband! My oldest son's birthday in on 9/11! It's so different celebrating it now from his childhood years. He was a freshman in college on that day! Just horrible how it affected so many families and the loss of life is still painful! sammy

I have my own memories of that day...but I simply cannot write them here and I am so thankful and grateful that I lost no one that horrible day.  I started to write a prayer, but I have never been able to finish it.  God knows my words and I am thankful that He understands why I cannot finish that prayer.

I have always believed that it is wrong in the eyes of God to hate anyone for ANY reason.  I pray that one day we will live in a world where we will learn to respect and tolerate and value people of all faiths, even though they are different from our own.

Amazing..
I live in the Mid-West, but felt so exposed and vulnerable - started out the morning watching stock market news while caring for a one year old. Surreal haze suddenly, shock, fear. When it became apparent the country was under attack, I took the baby to the basement and we stayed down there for awhile. I couldn't turn the t.v. off until the images of people jumping came on the screen. Horrifying can't begin to describe, as I'm sure you know..

we should remember.....I sat up all night watching the news as I was
then living in Sydney. I remember that I was really frightened the first time that I used the train to go into Sydney Central, but I told myself....if I don't live life normal, then "they" have won.
