Rumor I used to wait untli midnight for the train to come in with consignments of baby chicks. listening for the puff and rattle with relief.

Yes I used to do a lot of that Wiley weekend leave etc. a few train crashes in those days if I remember.

Wow I am exhausted. I was riding along watching then all of a sudden grabbing for someone or something to hold on to. Imagine that I never thought of the lady's knee. That was great I am tired now.

C.C..this brings back memories of taking the train..
from here to London (Ontario) with my Mom to visit my sister and her family...I remember flashing by the fields just as you describe it...when I was a kid, it would be a steam engine pulling the train, but eventually it all got switched over to diesel engines....thanks for bringing back some great memories..
