What a great memory maker....
You and your sis were lucky to have such access. Firelight on a beach... Maybe a full moon shining on the water. How sweet to think of this.

I have always wanted to live in a beach house! sam

[If you have time I posted a slide show of the patio my son built, he got his materials off Craigslist for free, at poetry blog! I even gave him a hand! I was a laborer, not a designer! lol

Kabu, thats like us with our three cottages on Lake St. Clair...
(one for Mom and me, and one each for my Mom's two sisters and families...we spent so many summers there, but when the township started taxing the cottages year round, we had to sell them...every summer I miss them, as I'm sure you must have for years your place in Australia..

Goodness Kabu how fortunes slip through our hands, beach houses here are worth gold dust.
Of course no one ever dreamed it would be so. Rather sad though.

Your dad was a great gambler, and very talented. What fun you had there with your friends love. Another great post about 'home' in Australia.

Your beach house, location & fresh seafood, sound far better than the fanciest of oceanside hotels!
