- Go to I am just too upset
I am fearful if SS payments will be made next week and whether my son who is in Afghanistan will be paid! It is so tough all over and I wish the parties would stop posturing and do the right thing to ease the minds of some many worldwide! sam

Join the club Kabu I rarely study the news, sadly it affects most folk though and I really think it is going to be a long haul back to what was believed to be better days.

I'm not sure a weekend of government wrangling is going to do much of anything except upset lots of people. I find it best to stay away from the news, but then, I don't have money inaccessible clear over in Australia.

Economic disaster is frightening..
I also have investments that are heading south, no universal healthcare here in the good ol' USA, so if this insanity continues my prospects for treatment for my lung disease wither away too. My insurance only pays a certain percentage - medicine for profit is a killer in itself. I do pray and try not to worry over my fate, knowing there are many others much worse off, but sadly and oh so wrongly, money is the difference between life and death...

Thoughts, prayers and hugs, Dear Kabu...

Your post is excellent.

I have often thought of the friendship between our two countries and felt grateful for it, I am afraid it is time to not worry over governments bull and take care of each other as best we can and put the rest in the capable hands of the good Lord.

Let's hope and pray the folks can get themselves together and think of something besides politics, like all the people in the world and it's economy. Amen

...little wonder that you are so upset! It is the more horrific for folks in the U.S. to realize how this mess is spreading around the world.

That's true. People used to tell me it wasn't money that made
one rich, it was the ability to appreciate life. Knowing how it was not to have two nickels to rub together and how ignorant they were about the subject, I merely rolled my eyes.

Kabu, Canada is tied into the States pretty tightly, too....
A lot of countries are, and this is far from just being a U.S. crisis...but there's really nothing we can do about it but pray that wisdom and compromise win out some way, somehow, but I know, easier said than done.
