Can't beat the heat!
I've always felt that it is easier to keep yourself warm in the winter than it is to keep yourself cool in the summer! When I was in college, a bunch of us discussed where we'd rather live . . . Alaska or Hawaii. I was the
only one to say Alaska!

The weather has been so warm for so many folks! You impart good advice on the water! My Christopher who is in Afghanistan wears 70 pounds of armor and the weather has been hot, up to 130 degrees F. So, I guess we are a bit more fortunate since we don't have to put on armor! lol Have a grand weekend! BTW, he is doing well and says the war is winding down so thank you for your prayers. He can get out of there as early as Dec. 15 but the latest he would have to be deployed is Jan. 15! I need the time to fly by, lol~ sam

You two have a fantastic weekend and try to stay hydrated and cool. Down here we are used to 90 plus weather with humidity so high it is ridiculous. However, this summer seems to be worse than usual. I have a touch of COPD and simply cannot breathe outside. I have to stay inside under the airconditioning as much as possible! Love to you and Wiley

I expect they were glad when you moved out Kabu and could get a bit of peace. It does sound a bit sweaty it is mad really cold in Winter and hot in Summer. I bet all those folks who moved from places like England and Ireland wondered what hit them. A bit cool here this morning weak sunshine and rain overnight good growing weather. Your grass will not grow so quickly hopefully.

Kabu...
This morning I put on an extra flannel shirt, it was in the 40s (F) which made for a day that barely got into the 70s. Sorry to hear about your heat, hope it blows over soon!

Oh, I can remember any umber of apartments I endured (you could hear just about anything coming from your neighbour). Thank goodness some of us grew up and can now afford he luxury of our own home. ~sigh~

I only liived in 2 apartments way, way back in the day
The first was at the Christian Fellowship center. 60.00/mon all included and all I had to do was clean and open my kitchen for group meals. Then onto public housing while I finished school. My best friend from High School lived across the hall. We moved on to a rental house. She witnessed a murder and had to testify. He walked right by her with the gun. It was a domestic dispute. Stange and exciting times being young

Goodness Grandmummy! What a nightmare those flats must have been! I'm drinking plenty of water. Tomorrow through Monday are supposed to be scorching days.

A good post love, that was quite a night and an early day. That was that fat cat's fault jumping off the bureau on to me and I let a kick go under the covers to get him off me.I lived in some lovely apartments too with a young family, one of 'em I sprayed the baseboards to drive the c-roaches downstairs.LOL Now we got it good love.

The Bondi apartment sounds even worse than...
the Commonwealth AV Boston apartment I lived in as a new bride many years ago. It was a one room apt. with a tiny closet kitchen. The ice box was next to the bed and if you forgot to empty the pan for collecting melted ice, it overflowed onto the floor with an early a.m. drip, drip wake-up call.

Wise decision, to sip coffee and enjoy the Queensland Room
and your furry friends before the hot wind kicked up. Funny what dreams do, make us wonder what were we thinking. And there was Wiley, getting to the bottom of things. And you were planting pot. Or was that potting plants? Sounds like a good beginning.

I agree, Wiley had the right idea. He crawled under the bed and away to a house. Great idea.

You two stay cool and drink a lot of water. I know you said it but I am saying it back to remind you...Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are not just little nothings. Love you! Thank goodness your dream was not true.
