Cute squirrel and ours are reddish more in colour and we love to watch them too. Kabu even gets them eating in her lap.

It's a good thing that Kabu's Mr. Graysome was not around.

{ Black squirrels are found in Washington Square Park in Manhattan. I don’t know about this guy (http://www.squirrels.org/history.html). He might be a mutant. Isn’t life strange love BC-A, Bill’s RJJst

No Justi only greys they chew the flowers in the cemetery except geraniums and one or two travel across to bury walnuts beneath the walnut trees. In winter the rooks sometimes try to find these caches as they have become artful and love the nuts.

Great picture.  But, I don't know anything much anymore about nature and its oddities.
This morning I saw the strangest bird at our feeder.  It looked like a cross between a fat robin and a crow.  Son called it a mutant.

So cuddly looking..no we get the red ones here with a white underbelly

and they are about a half size bigger than a Chipmunk. MIne get very fat!!!!!

We also have jet black ones but they have a pointy face more like a rat and long hair like a cat.

This one ....tell him come visit me....a long scamper I suppose.
