wow, Kabu. What a beautifully rendered story from "one who was there." I've been in the hospital a few times (mostly dramatic births), and have stood sentry with my son and Mom in the hospital, too, and I know that the nursing care makes all the difference. I was always so grateful for the kind, happy and capable ones! Mal

Kabuiepie:-)
That is such a spiritual post and I think I love and married that nurse. It reminded me that there are always reason for questions you ask like today; "Are you well?" The answer was I didn't really know, I was just so tired after waking up this afternoon that I couldn't even enjoy looking at lawn tractors or even buying one.Well, I'm fine now just sitting reading your wonderful post.

What an answer to give as a nurse. Bravo!
Personally, I never was hospitalized overnight (except for birth maybe) until I had my ulcer. I stayed four days in the hospital, and I remember how clumsy it was to get up to go to the lavatory. I had to wheel the IV rack along with me.

Only You
could have told that story of that day and bring tears and laughter to others. It isn't a wonder that you or whoever that nurse was got that ward so frequently. It was meant to be. For she had a great deal of stregnth and God knew it.

A sweet tale Kabu, not much of a job, but then a nurse is not looking for rewards. What made you become one?

Oh my goodness that is so special. It is such hard work. Nursing is a ministry, it is caring for the ill if any career ever was. You are so special. God bless you.
