I would love someone to tell me not to bother with the rent, even for a week! This segment really hit home with me for I am waiting to see if I will be able to keep my rental or if the new owner will snatch it out from under me! sam

You are right Kabu they used to slink along beside the gypsy caravans a greyhound cross and a smaller whippet type also used in racing and bagging game. Herbert probably got Borzo from the gypsies. Cousin Fred Cloeys hubby travelled with the gypsies for quite a while as he could not put up with Cloeys insational

great read...I find myself opening this and sitting down for a good read.
It is full of characters and simple life history and small dramas. i was trying to think what they call a Gypsy dog and then it came to me...Lurcher...that's it...thieving bad behaved endearing animals a recognized breed.
