Some do not understand that separation of church and state
means we all have freedom of religion - the freedom to have the God/belief system of our own, individual choosing in our daily lives or to not have. I choose faith in a higher power and practice/worship as I see fit. This does not mean my beliefs should be incorporated into government, whose actions then affect the citizenry as a whole. When someone says it's okay to have personal belief or religion inspire our laws and blanket every child, they are ignoring the tenants of democracy and actually describing theocracy. There is a huge difference between the two - Don't take my word, which I'm sure you won't, lol, look it up! For myself, I cherish democracy...

You are so right Justi... Some do not understand that the separation of Church and State does not mean that G-d can not be present in our dayly lives... inspiring our Law making, blessing our children at school.  There is one G-d so which ever religion we adhere to it is the same G-d we adore and for those unfortunate few that do not believe in Him, what do they care if we pray in Congress or in Schools?  If He as they say do not exist, then what  is the problem, what are they afraid of?  I do believe that if we invite Him to our table He will bless us ... Great post my friend.

BTW  Violet Grace is doing great... She is soo cute!  Here is a recent pic of her

Be well xoxoxo

I respectfully submit that
If we didn't have separation of church and state, the U.S. wouldn't be a democracy..I thank God we do have that freedom of religion. Because if we operated as a Christian nation, where would that leave non Christian citizens? This perspective isn't Marxist; just the opposite - it is the belief of those who cherish and revere liberty.
Thought inspiring post.

I believe that many people have made a huge mistake, Justi. They think that giving up religion means they have to give up God too. This is a great post to get people to think again!

Excellent blog note here Justi --- I will admit I do think about How Our Lord views this world - His creation - His Creatures and Creation and how far we've come 'away' from the LOVE and Beauty and well, what His Heart designed.  Oh yes, I think about it and I get 'sad' so I think of good and light and pray that my Lord, remembers the Hearts of those whom know Him and thus, has Mercy - I pray bring on the Light of Love undeniably ~ Good blog here and thank you for shaking me to wake prayerfully so this day.  Connie Elyse
