I'm finally here to read the whole thing from beginning (which I really loved) to end (or as far as it goes right now.  I feel as if I'm on a journey through some old part of "The Old Country".  My Grandmother who had immigrated from Czechoslovakia always talked about "The Old Country."

What a clever and charming setting she lives(d) in  with a  way to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Just one question...
If humans keep small gnome statues in their gardens, what does a homeowning gnome set among her petunias?

Wonderful beginning....
I especially like the backed up to the cave angle. Great green way to regulate the temp and shelter from the elements.  Genius design for the house, cozy comfy.
