It's extremely painful here, too, even though I know it's an unavoidable part of life. That being so, it's unnecessary for the media to dwell on it as they do. 'If it bleeds, it leads'.

It also affects me deeply
I don't watch the news and I don't like to hear about bad things happening, especially to children or animals.
Truly bad things can upset me for months or even years into the future.
