Well, I don't know, but I reckon those gnomes give pretty good advice.

I found this for you ---
an effigy for all the wings to come yet...Yes, it is Summer near and send us some rainfall, please? I believe Peonies take time to bloom. I don't believe they shall the first year but oh when they do...I love Peonies. I planted some one time in Maine when I lived there. I planted the year before we moved back to Texas. I visited a few years later and wow, they were beautiful in bloom. So, the new owners enjoyed them, I hope...
Gnomes can sometimes be a bit 'nasty' --- decrepid - what a harsh word - well, take it on the chin and tell the dear gnome, that gnome matter where the bones of you go, your Queenliness exudes grace and fairy-like Joy that old grump gnomes sometimes just cannot fathom.
Love you and enjoy those gardens ~

You sound like your old self again! Wow, I hope that things are on the mend and that you're breathing in the crisp spring air and just enjoying each other and your happiness. Much love to both of you.

I hear you on the worries of the gardener! This year I used straw as a mulch for my garden then I did some research and it said I needed to shake the seeds out if I was using new straw! Dang, too late! Then a windstorm came up and blew the straw around (I should have built with brick, lol) then I put newspaper on, then another layer of straw! So now all I have is a mess, and I can't even blame it on a gnome, drat, just myself! So today it all comes off and I start anew! I would settle for a bad bloom, though! sam

I think of Kabu's garden and her gnomes
when I water the flowers I planted in the big pot on the porch. Impatiens, small orange blossoms and begonias, also a shade of orange. Shade lovers, since no direct sunlight reaches beneath the tree and porch.

Well Kabu if it was a container plant they sometimes take a while to root into the soil and a little liquid fertilizer for the root ball is appreciated. If it was bare rooted well have a heart, it was tugged out of the ground losing its whiskers. I actually dug a tree peony up in the winter and moved it it is twenty years old but has flowered better this year as it was being overgrown with bushes. I do think Gnomes are very lazy and not many get the holiday that you give yours. Perhaps it is cruel to be kind to them.
