We slice these and eat all of the bean if it is warm soft weather they are very tender,

Right Justi We have to be careful of night frosts so these were grown inside in pots. I prefer the white ones as the birds sometimes pick the red blooms off.

I live in the Southern US and it is hot, but my family grew pole beans and I always have with no ill effects. These look nice.

It is very hot where I live so I plant bush beans! I really don't know about the pole beans! When I think about it and the huge gardens we had when I was young didn't have pole beans either; not did my uncle's garden and he lived next door! It wasn't that hot thought but it seemed the runner bean was the choice back then! sam

I read once that you do not grow stick beans in USA as it it too hot in most parts, so I don't know if that is true or not. You can see by the ground that it is very dry here at present the yellow patch on the right is a path of creeping buttercups the little devils are growing short stalks to miss the mower.
