Oh sweet lady you are a precious person. Of course the Lord wants us to love our parents and talks about it a lot. He will bless you and your father. Keep it up little one the Lord will do it for you when you reach end of your work on this. Be blessed in all your ways.

How wonderful that you keep working at a good relationship.  I'm sure it is worth any effort.

I am glad to read that the two of you are spending time together.

I understand what you've written here so well Amanda.  My relationship with my father is strained as well.  I do try, and I do love him very much.  Sadly, he has the same qualities you've described your own father as having.  Still, if Jesus can love them as they are, they need our love even more so.

Of course I will pray for you both.  I do hope your dad had a good birthday.
