You speak my language
This is what frustrates me about christams and easter. celebrated as religious times, when the customs and the rituals we practise dont even originate from the bible that they proclaim every festive season. Try to explain this to religious family members and watch how their respect for you quickly disappears. How sad. Doesnt God say to tell the truth?

I have found many of the holidays or festivals as you call them losing their meaning as well.

It seems that so many just keep on celebrating even when they have no idea of the reason and have no meaning for their rituals.

I suppose it was a time of celebration and many people now celebrate too often.

Happy New Year straightforward and yes festivals are getting more commercialized as time goes on.
