Kabu
This is a really informative and interesting post. The whole world is changing before our eyes. Love and best wishes in the cold... Just stay warm and pray they will open up the Gulf drilling again and the outter shale of Alaska for the largest supply of oil in the world. I am only bringing this up because we all have to stay warm and oil is getting yanked around by the Middle East. Love you...

Destruction, recreation, reincarnation, rejuvenation..all seem to be...
happening simultaneously there, just as described / predicted in the scriptures. There is an ancient Sanskrit shloka, "Yuga, yuga hi dharmasya, glanirbhavati Bharata....." which trnaslated means, "Whenever world becomes inert, I reappear"...amazing! Take care of yourself dear friend, Kabu, you are both brave & caring to have ventured down under during this calamity. - Ash

I didnt finish my comment lol
and always in the end we realize that it was really something good that came out of it.
perhaps we just thought it was bad, but really it was never bad to begin with.
for your information, temp. here is 60c and that is not a minus lol, thought I would brag a bit. and everybody is complaining how cold they are, yesterday it was 38 and it went down to 33, people would not go out of their house, are they spoiled or what?

I have found in life that good can come out of the bad. This looks like one of those examples...Hopefully a day will come when it is just good coming out good...

Kabu, its strange how Nature seems to have her ways of
balancing things out.
..our horribly hot and humid summer last year has been offset with this bitterly cold and snowy winter....
we're sunny here today, too, and cold, around 15F...this was after thunderstorms on Sunday night...the seasons are battling it out and spring will win out very soon..

We forget sometimes, we humans, that we're not really
the point of it all, that we're just one more species among many on this planet.

Some good can come of this flooding. That must be awesome to see all those birds and animals flying and living around the rivers. Rivers are so great in themselves. You are a real trooper to adjust to that cold climate from a hot one!!! Australia has taught you to be rugged when you need to be!
