Owning your own business can be stressful. But...it seems your dad handles things well.

Great post! I would love to be more like that Eric fellow...unfortunately, I react first, then calm down, then go into action. That seems to be my pattern. Except for sometimes I forget those last two!.....I'll have to work on that!

I saw that you went to the Amazon link, FSI, and I wanted to thank you.

Not everyone has it in them to carry the stress of being a business owner and employer of humans who also have their own problems. It is a stress-ridden world we live in and not everyone handles stress in the best manner possible.

Such a vast differences in personalities! I think your Dad has the right approach! Too bad Eric takes digs at people, it takes away from the very good that he does! And poor Howard, wanting to make everyone happy at the same time will do what it did, cause him to fall! He was so fortunate not to be hurt badly! This was a good read, I like how I can just float so to speak through your writing and it is always a joy to pop into your blogs! sam

It is definitely a plus point to have a clear head and take things in stride like your Dad during those times FSI.

I guess it takes all kinds, and that is what places of employment are like with all kinds of personalties and talents. Your dad sounds like mine, he was so calm all the time.

FSI, your Dad sounds like a very laid back, but still very business
oriented individual...no fuss, no rush, just one thing at a time for your Dad, and if time runs out, there is always tomorrow....other employees react differently because we're all so different to begin with....I had one boss like that when I worked in the distillery's mailroom - all around him could be chaotic, but he never lost his cool....if someone had a package that had to go immediately, it did, but if not, his fav expression was "There's always tomorrow."

people really are spoilt these days. I mean not much point giving the car
workers grief if it is a problem beyond their control. Well written post friend
