As a nurse you have outlined your experience when dealing with patients and staff.Ii share the same opinion as you because being a nurse also we have to keep patients's confidentiality

you are so wise, to keep most everything private dealing
with patients at that time, I too deal with customers
at the pharmacy and times it can be stressful, rewarding
and things and situations we at work can only share
with one another.

Kabu - It is a calling I feel to be a doctor or a nurse, not everyone can be one and I am sure the experiences you have gone through would make a good topic for a novel.

When someone lives each day in such a high stress environment,
they've got to let off steam and take the pressure off. Otherwise they'd run screaming out into traffic. And keeping the patient stories confidential is only right. Besides, as a medical professional you're at the hinge of a story -- not in on the beginning to see the impacts of other characters and circumstance, and don't always know the ending. If you ever decide to share, it would be very interesting, but if you don't, we respect that.

A lovely answer Kabu, Joking aside they deserve every penny they get, sadly a lot are immigrants over here, but they are just as caring. You really are a lovely person. Well our Wiley knows that. I know you haven't answered my query. I mean you can't say how you passed the post on the favorite and won the gold cup it would be out of character. Bless you

Kabu, I couldn't help but smile as I read this just now....
the thought came to mind: "Nurses (and doctors) are human, too"...oh, who won the waterfight?..

I think
That your post today was awesome. It touched not only on the humane part of the industry, but also on the ethical part. I am not sure I would ever have the courage to face what nurses face on a daily basis. To me, they are the ones who we owe every little gratitude. I know that only doctors can make certain decisions, but nurses have to be the ones who are aware enough to get that doctor on the ball. I guess what I am trying to say is that the nurses are the ones who actually keep the ball rolling, and being human they like everyone else in this world are prone to mistakes. Mistakes, what I do best. Well, everyone has to be good at something I guess.

There are privacy issues in the medical and related fields that medical personnel or like myself, semi- medical are held to not violate. That is why I don't write about my work situation, plus I like to spend my spare time with other things. It was very
interesting for you to touch on them though. I did not know you were a nurse for a time.

Powerful and very well done, Dear Kabu!

Nursing is not a career as much as a calling that becomes a state of being for those so gifted.

Kabu, this is an excellent post. I'm sure many emotions, some you would rather leave behind you, were present when you wrote it. It emphasizes your wonderful professionalism, and the discretion and caring that was part of your work in the field. Kudos!
