I am glad that Dad can wait longer yet for such invasive surgery.
Bless him for how he keeps on going.

for your Dad, FSI!

I had an Aunt who ran her own ranch at 83 who had knee replacement surgery and was back on her horse in less than six weeks, I don't know of any one with hip replacement surgery. I hope the shots work well enough for your father that he won't need the surgery.

FSI, no one looks forward to surgery....
Even out-patient surgery or dental surgery (ouch!)....I hope the shots keep working for your Dad.

Glad the shots are working for your Dad, although I know a couple of people who had hip replacement and all went very well. They feel much better now.

That's good to know. I'm sure your Dad would lke to hang on to his familiar ld hip and knees as long as possible. I know I would...

That's true FSI, only your dad can tell how it feels like and the next course of action.

So many pro's and con's. I guess only your Dad can decide when it is right for him. And, when he chooses that option, I know you will be there for him.

I know an old girl who had both knees replaced at once FS and she was quite happy, I think a lot depends on the surgeon.I once plucked and processed 7 chicken in the kitchen after nine pm. Not much help I'm afraid.

Uggh. It almost seems like the replacement surgeries and the resulting physical therapy that ensues are more painful than the initial problem. Mom in law just had a knee replacement and was not a happy camper.
