What a fun read for a space filler.
You definitely have the knack for it.

Blackbirds and Dogs --- Okay well, these blackbirds depending on their size either pester the dogs or simply fly off madcap ... You know this scene - of the breeding and the rearing and the nesting is so vivid to me, and it's amazing how you thoughtfully thought of that all. I know that crows in fact, if the crust or bread is too hard, they are smart enough to find water to douse the dabs in and make moist for their taste. And I have many a vine here --- blueberry, raspberry and blackberries and yes, fig tree that gifts to these and many birds for the season. Oh, I enjoyed this pome and prose piece. Write on dear ChCh ~ what a great 'filler of space' - E.E. (big smiles and Happy Valentine's Day)

Re: CHIFFCHAFF
It just seems funny sometimes to see birds sharing the same enviroment Wiley the trouble is the outdoor lighting stimulates them and they build nests too early and sometimes too wearily.

Re: maybe it was just a space filler, C.C....
AS Sam Said Rumor when they start invading the greenhouse and sticking their beaks into tomatoes one might say a few things about them

Re:
I think actually they become too tame Sam and then meet the wrong cat, because last year suddenly they all disappeared and everything ripened. A new lot has arrived but they are ultra cautious.

Well that is a compliment Kabu and I always tease you. I suppose I only see that little girl beside a dirt track road.

maybe it was just a space filler, C.C....
but its a very good space filler....very easy to picture the blackbirds in the mind's eye, flitting about doing what blackbirds do.

You really studied those wee blackbirds and turned their actions into a lovely poetry of our feathered friends.
