It sounds like what I did VIA telephone 1 year ago! I lost $250 because of it. It sounded so good, and a legitimate work-at-home business doing something I would never want to do (but they made it sound really appealing). I am still getting phone spam because I clicked on a work at home ad and it seemed someone sold my name and number!

There's always a charge around that amount in 3-7 days if you don't call to refund and make arrangements to send it back, that is, if you get a fairly honest one. Glad it all was resolved.
Wow, Ms. Elyse had a fantastic comment, loved the story and the pics. What a tale!!

Awww... such a sweet and happy ending :)
You really have to read the fine print (usually in the terms of service) when accepting any offers, online or offline.
The advertisement you accepted was a CPC (cost per click) ad.
They are getting more and more popular as more and more affiliates learn about them. What happens is an affiliate advertises a product for a company, and they are paid a commission for leads that accept the offer (usually between $35-$50 usd for something like this). In return the company gets a customer who may be likely to continue ordering.
It's ok to take these trial offers, as long as you are aware that they do have a continuing subscription if you don't cancel in time (usually within 7 days of placing the trial order...though some may be longer).
Always read the terms and write down the cancellation info before ordering any trial.

Oh Kabuski, so…here we have another of
"The (Solved) Case of the Age Old Free Anti-Wrinkling Cream"
WOW, as I understand your share is that you went on to read the news and this blinking:
And your eyes were mesmerized by the winking, blinking of the ‘free’ hope for perpetual youth ---
And you had visions of being oh so perpetually young – free of wrinkles…
and so wrinkled free, even:
Now, when the goods arrived and you thought of trying but had visions of :
not this :
but, more this:
And so you lost ‘face’ and decided against...
and then added to your draw of other promises:

And then to top it all off – you find that there is this sudden grip on your finances ----
like you've been snagged:
like --- another:
scheme has occurred...and even Mr. Graysome began to find unusual places to hide:
probably because you made a whimper like a 'sharpei pup' ~
even sadder because you felt like a big ‘bird’ ---
all the time,
Afraid to tell W-John, Inspector Clouseau -
And then yet another round of promises :
????
and is when another grip overcame you; And then you panic – and you hid in the snow:

But that was too cold so you hid your head under the blankie
(that got too suffocating...)
Then, you decided ---- against all odds to tell Inspector of what happened…
In a flash he was gone --------------->
And with supersleuth speed he called ---
straightened out the matter and now,
It’s all back to normal again (at its best)

and you and the Inspector are once again, Bringing awareness that’ Lessons’ can always be learned
and Inspector Clouseau will certainly take care of his Kabuski, always ~
~
and Mr. Graysome can now finish his game of solitaire ~ free of advertising…

with *Another Inspector Wiley Clouseau ~ Case Closed:
(oops wrong one)
and now, you may continue to
and I feel all the more humble that you shared this --- because it happens to a lot of us internet people --- world wide across this web. thank you for sharing Kabuski --- I'm thinking of the time I hit the 'free' and well, Mamma always said, "ain't nothing free'' ---
~ it happens. (ok so I paid mega bux in order to get a free airline ticket, that never showed up --- only a years worth of subscription to a gambling/bingo site online that I assume if you won then you may win a free airline ticket...
, it's hard to decipher what 'free' means to some...to most...)
I love you Kabuski, no matter, if a character wrinkle or not --- thank you for sharing this saga (as I understood it) xoxoxox Connie Elyse

Sorry sorry sorry I keep missing you, Kabu so each time I do in future I'll eat a box of chocolates. Now a while ago there were adverts for acadicia berries well something like that. there were supposed to slim one down in a month. Several firms were advertising them and one has to be careful read the small print, it is alright saying one can just cancel, it is not always so easy. Anyway I saw a British firm saying, one order only sort of thing. I sent off and had a bonus bottle of rhubarb pills colon sweepers, I have become tired of taking any of the them, sadly I put on two pounds, so you may be sure I shall be on the alert for your blog .

First of all, you look mighty darn good without any miracle creams.
And second, welcome to the club. We fall for a "free" offer, give strangers our contact info so they can send it to us, and after all the other times, we're still surprised that someone conned us. Clearly those scammers were counting on your being docile and defenseless and weren't ready for a knight with a broadsword coming to your defense. Way to go, Wiley!

This is the sweetest post. We all get pulled into these sorts of things if we believe others are set on telling the truth as we are. I've been there got the loss to prove it. Give Wiley an extra ton of hugs today. He could make tons of money clarifying things us who want to believe in fair advertising. You are such a dear. I am sorry you held this so long. Here are some big hugs and loves...
