Re:
Well I don't know if it's true and it's no use asking Kabu it was before her time, but the old Uncle told me that these were shown dancing and the little shelf was for small coins. I don't think they were made for sale purposely and the shoes are so hard one lad cut a bit out of one he thought they were metal, I remember feeling annoyed when he told me.

Re: This will surprise you C.C. ........No it wouldn't be a favourite with me
Thank goodness Kabu I won't bother to clean his poor little face and push him under the stairs.

This will surprise you C.C. ........No it wouldn't be a favourite with me
but then I don't have the sentimental attachment that you have. It is probably worth a fortune.

Poor little chap needs a wipe with something it is a little dancing man we used to play with at my great Aunts brought home from Australia by an old Uncle another one stayed out there and married a dark skinned lady much to the chagrin of my Great Aunt as he was supposedly the wealthy one. I remember now" Aunt Lizzie, you said I could have the dancing man.' "I haven't got time now we'll see another day . Persistence must have paid off and I feel a bit ashamed that he is in this state but perhaps he is lucky to be reinstated and when I have polished him up he will look Wongo bongo or something.
