                I also find that warmth and comfort is my kitchen on a cold day--coffee maker going, something in the toaster oven, crockpot on high, boiling water for my teapot.

                Oh how wonderful. I loved Oxtail soup. There was one company who put it out years ago as a dry mix and I loved making it. Perhaps it got caught up in the red tape I have not seen it in years. I am sorry about your grandfather.

                I have been looking at your lovely photos Justi, I missed seeing your blogs for some reason. It is amazing the space that you share . My ma always made soups out of the chicken or anything that she could afford. She had learned the hard way being in a family of eight young ones and no money for weeks after her Daddy was killed in the first war. We loved Oxtail but I don't think they are sold now due to some regulation. A woman told me once when they were small they used to eat pig's tails, now waste food is collected weekly because it fills the rubbish pits too quickly.
