Australia is chock full of goodies...wow, all the crayfish and crabbies --- lobsties - I did not know of any of this history and well, geography of your great Country there dear Kabuski. I also like how you tell of your personal history as well - travelin' down the bumpy roads and all. I will continue my read ~

trying to remember and taking notes...xoxoxo Connie Elyse

Kabu
You are such a story teller. I can see this and smell that dry hot dust as it blows over the land. This needs to be told through the eyes of a six to sixteen year old girl in Australia as she travels with her family. I love it.

You were very intellegent and aware of your surroundings. Your upbringing made you a thoughtful person. I want to get a map and see some of this; my globe may have to do.

Kabu, that would have been a fun interplay between you and the conductor...
..

...he sounds a lot like some of the nice conductors my Mom and I would meet when we'd train to London, Ontario from Windsor...I always have loved train travel..

A really special guided tour of your homeland love, and imagine you being in another community now where German immigrants have made it grow, and down the road is Kilallo was settled by the Polish and Barry's Bay settled by American draft dodgers from the Nam war. LOL

Why do I think of Adelaide as a cattle town, a trail head
from whence cattle are loaded and shipped to market? Maybe I'm thinking of Abilene, Kansas, which was one of the old west destinations for cowherds in long ago U.S. In any case, when I hear Adelaide I think of a beards and boots kind of atmosphere, poker games and rough jokes by men who won't be fenced in. I'm probably wrong. It's most likely the wintering over hangout for Canadian Gnomes...

One of the movies that I thought was so good was
The Rabbit-Proof Fence. Filming of part of it was done in Adelaide.

How interesting this all is. It reminds me of some good movies that I have seen that were about Australia and filmed there. Love the accent. Do you have an Australian accent?
