Justi
I have the impression they conned you a little bit, and that's not nice, even from (especially from?) church people! So be firm...

Yes toughen up Justi that was a bit of something thought up later I would suspect. If it was me I would write a menu including fish and chips or bacon and beans what ever can be obtained locally fill them up with bread cheese. It could all be bought easily. I would just make one cake and say it is for a raffle, that is if you feel like it. Feed two hundred it sounds like a comedy on the television. Well we know you could not do it so don't feel worried about it.

A dinner for 200 people, no matter how simple, is a load of work and almost impossible for one person to do. They should have told you that up front because there is a lot of difference between " making a menu" and cooking for a battle ship. Just be honest with them darling and don't feel guilty about it. If yo still want to help you can direct those of them that want to do the cooking in another kitchen or several kitchens, not yours... who wants that mess???? Learning to say "no" is not easy but necessary to be able to survive :-) Be well xoxoxo

Enough darling has reached enough and you darling have almost pushed your
dear self too far so I am thankful that you have written this down and will now have to follow through.
They didn't really give you all the facts.......planning the menu, to me, doesn't equal cooking with untried help in a small kitchen for 200 hungry hopefuls. No you have been really sick several times over the last months and working so hard....No ...Unfair and actually dangerous and; No.
