It takes a lot of hard work and patience but it is certainly worth it.

You're right as always! Christmas should be about warm fuzzies, and not cold frazzles...

My job as a Daddy is to show to my little girls that Christmas is not about receiving a present. We already received the greatest present imaginable. Christmas, as a believer, should be about giving that same present to those who don't have it....or don't acknowledge it.

I don't do the commercial stuff, Justi, but I do love to cook and have my family around. True, sometimes it can be a rush, but that's Christmas for me. It's so nice to read about couples and the warmth they have achieved! Great post!

Hi my dear friend... PEace, they say, exists within ourselves so that contentment you and your husband have found is, I am sure, a reflection of your beautiful souls. I am happy you are happy and so strong in your faith. I have missed your posts and I am going to copy you in saying... Be blessed xoxoxo

Justi..that's why I always cringe when I hear someone say...
"We're going to have the
best Christmas ever!" Commercialism and competition are the name of the game. If people would only look at the baby in the manger and see that The Best, God's Best, was given 2,000 years ago.

you're a darlin' girl and I can always smell the baking when I think of
your house....not as a business but as the loving smells of home. I do know you and George are blessed with your love and it makes me hug myself with joy to think of you too. I remember you writing one time that you have spoilt him and that's just the way you like it. How lovely ....and of course here in theis house it is a gray fur ball that is so spoilt...well Ok me too.Love you heaps darling. xoxoxoxoxox

In this household we've learned how to "slow down the speed of life". Gone are the days of scurrying around because it's Christmas. Oh sure, I'll put up a few decorations this weekend but other than that it's pretty quiet, peaceful, and loving.
