when the snows come C.C. I promise you pictures of Kabu the child...
however the bones are getting older and I may have to wait for the thaw to be able to get back up. LOL But still no snow and none in sight.

Re: is this a carnation? Straightforward
No dear they are all pinks well I have two carnations but they are taller and can stand heat better. The old English pink has been around for donkeys it was cultivated by the so called gentry people with lolly. Quite a few were grown in cottager's gardens which are now mostly covered with gravel to make room for the second car. As cottages are now regarded as goodies by those who can afford two houses, well could. About a hundred years ago a man called Allwood crossedthe old pinks with carnations and called the result Allwoodii.  Carnations can be grown successfully with luck anywhere result one can buy bunches from most flower sellers. I have yet to see a nice bunch of pinks although the may exist. Pinks originated in european countries and they don't seem to like too much heat although they are quite hardy well in this climate. As a man once said to me they will just kill you eventually as they are temperamental. I always liked them and now grow them in pots, they are like excuse me temperamental ladies beautiful if cared for in a professional manner. I will post a picture of one of my carnations for you to see either to day or tomorrow.
