Hi Kabu.. I hope you had a great time in Australia. So nice that you give thought for giving special treats to the neighbor boy.

I have been planning to see "Secretariat". I grew up on the Kentucy side, where we used to watch the Kentucky derby on television. Hope your horse wins if you have one!

Hey Kabu - hope all went well last night. We are VERY off the grid, so no trick or treaters here. We went into NYC and saw plenty of folks dressed up. That was enough for me.....Mal

Happy Halloween Kabu & Wiley John. Even here we don't really celebrate it. Thanks so much for the visit.

Hope you had luck at the track. Having the seasons upside down would be different for Halloween I guess. The tradition I have been used to is that you turn on a porch light if you are welcoming little ones, porch light off if you are not. In our town all sorts of places, schools, churches etc., have candy, games and fun so children are safe. Have a warm day and wrap Mr Grayson a kitty bite of food, let him pull it out of a bag and open it. He will have fun I bet. Have a blessed week snuggled inside with Mr Wiley and Mr Grayson. Tell him Aunty Justi said clean up his Russian when talking to his Mum.

Kabu, we have been visited by goblins today.
Hubby was home alone when they came. He couldn't find any candy so he gave them some money to buy some.

My daughter and grandchildren are ready......dusk won't come fast enough. For the past twenty years, I have dressed up and taken the kids out. Tonight, I am ready to do it again.

There's a parade tonight. That will cut down the number of spooks...
I was ready for them last night -- usually get quite a few, but nary a one. So I took about half the stash up to the library this afternoon and passed out treats to shoppers in the Carnegie's used book section...

It adds to our uniquness that some places do not celebrate the same holidays or celebrate them in different manners.

You mean Mr. G. didn't get little baggies of catnip or other kitty treats?? Grump & Bud each had some marrow bones, without the baggies, LOL! Our daylight saving time is next weekend - it won't be so dark arriving home from work. Yipee!

Kabu...
Happy Halloween to you and Wiley both...and to Mr. Graysome (you should sprinkle him with some black makeup to make him look more Halloweenish..lol..(just kidding..
..).....we will likely have anywhere from 50-80 kids tonight so are well stocked with treats....then again, if it rains, it could drop off to practically nil.

Hi Kabu letting off fireworks here although it is supposed not to happen until Nov5 . We are not supposed to have fires, but I always burn rubbish on that day, you've got to do some thing reckless now and again don't you think so. The clocks have been put back today so we shall soon be plodding around in the dark and getting Sad Sad Sad. I shouldn't think you got that over the hill lack of sunshine.

Precious ditty there Kabuski. Snow ~ lacing the fields already eh? WOW ~ yes, it felt as if it could have snowed here - even iced the fields...it was chilly but no, no frost nor snow. I would imagine y'all are feeling the effects of less light - I celebrate Harvest more than Halloween. I hope all harvests are good before the frosts. I have cookies wrapped and decorated prettily for any treaters coming by...but it's few and far we ever get any because of the journey up to our doorway. All in all, y'all stay warm. Wonder, is the porch too cold?
~Fairy Light -come Halloween tonight
