too bad about business, I know I had my car washed the other day and I was the only customer at the time, highly unusual and it was a beautiful day

It certainly appears to be a matter of timing! It's wonderful that it worked out for both your Dad and Josh! I liked the fact that you can kill three birds with one stone, it has to be a record of a sort! Well done and kudos to you, too! sam

And when winter comes, you will have a whole load of extra business FSI. Thanks so much for the visit.

FSI
To even be able to keep a business operating in these economic times is a very admirable feat my friend.

FSI
Your Dad clearly made the right decision. In business one has to adapt to the circumstances...

Life in the UK
is played out against a background of cuts at the moment. I'm not sure that our Coalition Government had much choice but to cut hard and quick, but there is also a concern that some of the cuts will kill growth in the longer term. Difficult times eh?

it is a very strange and unpredictable time for businesses....
just when it looks like things are rolling again, along comes a report that unemployment is up even higher...but you and your Dad will see this thing through...

very interesting read here FSI ~ makes me think of my little business I have and how yes, I saw a decline in September and then a surge in October and I'm thinking of what more to add or subtract...and I agree, knowing when to 'stay the course' is so important.  Uncertainty for sure...these economic times are up and down, like a yo yo effect and makes me wonder more of what the future will hold.  I, myself, hope it does nothing but continually stabalize.  You're so involved and I know your Dad appreciates your dedication.  You must be busy.  Elyse

Times are strange for being in business. I am glad your father can keep it going and knows when to let go and when to come back. Good post.

You nailed it, an owner has to keep his finger on the pulse.  Things will pick up again!!!

I'm glad things worked out with Josh
but I am sure it's hard on you not being able to bring the others back.  I hope business gets better for you.
