Hip and knee replacements have become quite routine and most people do really well with them and their functionality is so improved.  At least since he has been through it before, he knows pretty much what to expect.

As fas as I know, there is nothing wrong with my hips, but if one had to be replaced, for me it would be a huge deal! I am somewhat possessive about my body parts...

Well your Dad seems ok about it FS and he will be able to recuperate better in the spring. So probably a wise choice No probs to whom will steer the ship get your admirals hat out.
