LOL! Oh, for the good old days, when I (and several others) had our own 'greenhouses' in our offices! That was back in the universities' free-spending days, when graduate students, who were also teaching assistants and ran seminars, had their own offices; and in several of said offices, in those rather relaxed days, there were 'potted plants.' These were window-less offices, but the lights were kept on 24/7.
Everybody knew, but nobody batted an eye; the worst thing that could happen was that a snot-nosed undergraduate would steal some of your crop when you left your office and forgot to lock the door...Needless to say, I have looooong since forsworn such pursuits...

I am an officially approved, governmentally certified (and certifiable!) caregiver, having been investigated and found to be free of any and all, past felony convictions, and never having been convicted of any drug law violations, I am now a card-carrying, supplier of my own personally obtained and/or legally grown, (in an enclosed, secure, legal, $100 annual fee-paid, marihuana growing facility) harvested, stored and administered by me, for the sole use of my own government assigned, approved, registered recipient, personally approved and requested by them to become their supplier of medically prescribed Marihuana.
This informed and willing adult recipient, has been prescribed therapeutic dosages for treatment of medical conditions with this herbal calmative, and for whom I am his or her sole registered and current caregiver.
She can smoke it, eat it, snort it, cook with it, bake with it, make it into eyedrops, or otherwise legally infuse it rectally or imbibe it in an adult beverage, while I cannot. I can legally grow it, dispense it, possess it, legally supply it, but she cannot. I am legally allowed to receive monetary compensation, to offset all my costs of producing this therapeutic commodity, providing that I grow twelve or fewer plants, and I am allowed to possess no more, than two and one-half ounces, of processed marihuana at any time, or I will face possible arrest and procescution.
I hope that this clears up the matter for you. If you now understand all this, please take an hour or so, and explain it to ME!

I vote you wait for spring and build it yourself, you could order it all prefab for around $3,500.00. I sort of did that on our front deck 8' X 8'. Good luck my friend.

I have lately become so frustrated, being "under the thumb" of the weatherman and the calendar, that I came uncomfortably close to letting the magic moment pass me by. Fortunately, maybe with Bel's husband Carl's (a carpenter and an electrician,) generous help for a stranger, needing his knowlege and connections and a network of tradesmen in lower Michigan, it is still possible that an honest, capable artisan, a "Doctor of Carpentry," might be located in time, to finish just barely ahead of a likely hard, early, Michigan winter. This is assuming that my luck regarding such things, is extremely unlikely to ever change for the better!

I guess you could use daylight bulbs on some lamps in your basement for your plants. Couldn't you get someone else to help you with the greenhouse? :)

ok seriously shoot me an email and tell me what area you live in
I was a Carpenter (no I don't build greenhouses), I am...what am I doing with Carl...oh wait, this is a family blog, better not write that here LOL but you get what I am saying here. He is a Journeyman Carpenter and Electrician and you know how these guys work, they only hire the best for their stuff as well.
Anyway, I can probably find you someone who is reasonable, honest and reliable depending on where you are. Trust me in this state, there are enough who are fighting for work that they would be grateful for the job.
